Fine Early Walnut & Marquetry Bedisde Table

Description

Fine early 19th century Dutch walnut and marquetry bedside cabinet. One of the best I have seen and a very good small size. Square tapering legs with fancy line inlay. Tambor front with oak lined drawer beneath.

All sides including the back are beautifully inlaid with fancy lines and marquetry central pattern. Edge of top is also cross banded. Various types of walnut as well as many exotic woods have been used to create such a beautiful piece of funriture.

Apart from an old age crack to the top it is in remarkably good condition. Both original 18th century brass knobs and the whole piece retains a wonderful patination and colour.

SIZE; 18" wide by 13" from front to back by 27" in height.
