Sandbanks Antiques has dated this Chinese Famille Rose Vase to the 18th Century.
Painting & Artistic Execution: The execution across the entire composition is executed to an exceptionally high standard. The gnarled peach tree springs dynamically from subtle blue rockwork at the base, featuring meticulous stippling to denote woody knots and growth. The ripe peaches are rendered with delicate, multi-tonal shading—transitioning seamlessly from buttery yellows to vibrant coral-oranges and soft pinks. The foliage features crisp, finely delineated veins in varying shades of green and blue enamel, while the five descending iron-red bats (wufu) fluttering around the neck and body display fluid outlines and naturalistic tonal variation.
Base & Character Marks: The base is dressed with a remarkably smooth, silky-to-the-touch foot pad finished with a controlled, light orange-brown iron edge. The six-character underglaze blue mark (Da Qing Yongzheng Nian Zhi) is written in clean, well-proportioned regular script with natural cobalt pooling within the strokes, framed precisely by crisp double concentric rings.
Condition: Excellent overall condition, preserving vibrant, stable enamels, a pristine glaze luster, and an immaculate profile.
