Charles X Fine Inlaid Rosewood Mantel Clock 1830-1840

Description

Charles X fine inlaid rosewood mantel clock.

The movement stamped for A. Jovart Fils = Alexandre Jovart Rue de Berry Paris, he was working there in circa 1840. In the same stamp is also the name of A. Chaumont = Alphonse Chaumont Paris also in the Rue de Berry, was working there circa 1830.

The same stamp is also on the reverse of the dial.

Wonderful inlaid with ornaments and swans, with original bronze handle, dial and dial rim.
The movement is fully

cleaned and serviced and is in fully working order striking on a bell every 30 minutes.

Overal in wonderful original condition with very nice patination.
