This Victorian epergne dates from 1880 and takes the form of an opalescent green glass centrepiece designed for a dining table. The composition consists of a tall central trumpet vase surrounded by three shorter trumpet vases, all secured with brass hardware into a wide bowl with a wavy shaped edge and ruffled rims. The translucent vaseline glass features trailing glass rigs winding around the stems, creating texture alongside the crimped borders. The piece measures 44 cm high, 25 cm wide, and 25 cm deep, making it a suitable scale for display as a dining table centrepiece or sideboard decoration in a traditional room.
