An exceptionally decorative antique gilt painted display cabinet dating to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century, beautifully combining elegance, craftsmanship and artistic expression.

Of slender proportions and highly desirable scale, this stunning vitrine is finished in warm gilt decoration with hand-painted floral garlands and romantic pastoral scenes throughout. The shaped glazed door opens to reveal a mirrored interior fitted with glass shelves, creating the perfect showcase for fine porcelain, silver, glassware, objets d'art or treasured collections.

The cabinet displays a graceful serpentine form and elaborate Rococo-inspired cresting to its beautifully painted panels depicting courting figures and floral arrangements.
