This is a handsome Irish oak cased 8 day longcase clock in excellent order by William Young of Portglenone dating from around 1830.The clock has just been serviced and runs beautifully for 8 days striking on a bell on the hour every hour. This has an interesting face with a good maritime scene of masted tall ships and a really striking and unusual pair of Asiatic pheasants to the 13-inch painted arch dial. It has Roman numerals and a seconds dial and date aperture with floral decorated corners.
