Description

This is a Late VIctorian Rare Lecturn Top Antique Oak Filing cabinet with 9 drawers and all of its original fittings. A wonderful example raised on a plinth base with lovely patina as well as being practical. All of the previous example like this have gone to the clergy of varying Denominations as you would expect. It has its oirignal lock which works perfectly. I have had a new key made to fit the lock and works lovely. The top is a storage section for stuff which we all have too much of.

When this piece was made we ruled more than a 1/3 of the Planet, Our Navy was something to behold and be wary of, Goods and Products flowed from every corner of the planet to us. Our passport was blue as it will be again and we were proud to say we were British.
