A George II Painted Bowfront Corner Cupboard

Description

A George II painted corner cupboard, the bowfront top with a cavetto cornice over edges painted with monochrome panels with foliate sprigs and a pair of doors painted with bucolic scenes,, each with pierced brass butterfly hinges, pierced internal catches, and revealing a pink painted interior with a shaped shelf over two bowfront shelves, on a plain gilt painted base. English circa 1730. Supplied with wooden brackets and screws to enable fixing it to a wall.

Condition: Overall very good, the cupboard is in very good, original condition, with no damage or repairs, one of the hinges is a period replacement, there are a minor losses to the paint but nothing significant, the interior has at some point been repainted but not recently, overall the piece has a lovely antique appearance with its original decoration and aged patina.
