Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A pair of French Louis XV style bedside tables from 1920 come in warm brown walnut with chevron veneer patterns on the single top drawers. Each piece stands on slender cabriole legs terminating in brass sabots, with a small central brass knob fitted to each drawer front. Below the drawer, a cabinet door conceals a multicoloured façade of faux book spines in green, red, and dark tones. Each table measures 74 cm high, 39 cm wide, and 32 cm deep. These matching bedside units fit neatly beside a bed in a guest room or master bedroom to hold a reading lamp, book, or personal items while adding a decorative touch.

FAQs

French Louis XV style bedside tables typically feature curved silhouettes, slender cabriole legs, and decorative veneer work, originating in 18th-century France.

These cabinets are commonly constructed from dense hardwoods such as walnut or oak, often incorporating brass sabots, wood veneers, and faux book binding details.

Authentic pieces display hand-cut dovetailed drawer joinery, natural timber grain variation, cast brass leg mounts, and proportional carved shaping along the aprons.

Positioning these cabinets alongside contemporary upholstered bedframes creates a balanced, eclectic scheme while providing functional storage and architectural detail.

Dust surfaces regularly using a clean, soft cloth and apply a thin layer of natural beeswax twice annually to preserve the timber finish.
