Description

Rene Lalique Montdore bowl. A 20th Century Art Deco French opalescent glass plate bowl with a relief of high relief fruits and flowers. The bowl appears to be clear but the opalescence in the base of the bowl enhamces this beautiful piece of glass.  Moulded signature to the underside R Lalique France . Marcilhac number 396.First designed 1928. Excellent original condition .

Mont-Dore (Le Mont-Dore) is a small town of around 1300 people and is about a 5 hour drive south of Paris in south central France on the Dordogne river. The town is known for its thermal springs in Summer (The Romans constructed baths there) and the skiing in the winter
