A superb and rare garniture of Flight, Barr and Barr Worcester Porcelain Vases c.1815. The central vase of Warwick Vase shape, raised on a square pedestal base, twisted vine stem handles, embossed tongue moulding around the rim, a row of applied pearls at the waist, decorated with a pink ground with a central reserve painted with a view of Warwick Castle, the pedestal with the scene of a mother and child by a wooded landscape, both sides decorated with neoclassical gilt ornament and the reverse with finely executed Dragon’s in gold. Flanked by a matching pair of urns with a row of applied pearls, each with a pair of gilt Phoenix’s, raised on a square pedestal, each vase decorated with a scene, one of ‘’Binstead Cottage, Isle of Wight’’ and the other with a scene of a church in ‘’Malvern Church, Worcestershire’’, reserved on a bright pink ground, neoclassical gilt ornament and the reverse with finely executed Dragon’s in gold. Script marks in red with Coventry Street address and scene t...itles.
Condition: Very good, with just some minor restoration to the corner of the vase titled ‘’Malvern Church.’’ Both lids are Flight, Barr and Barr but have probably been taken from an inkwell with the same ground colour. A couple of small chips to the edge of one of the lids.
