This is a pair of late Georgian, mouth-blown, Prussian-style three ring glass decanters dating from the early 19th century, c1820. They each hold a full bottle of wine.The decanters are in excellent condition for their age. This means, of course, that they show age related wear and tear to the rims of the bases consistent with some 180 years of use. There are polished out pontil marks to the undersides of the bases.The decanters have been mouth-blown in clear glass and have been embellished with three annular applied neck rings, petal-flute cutting to the shoulders and finger flute cutting to the base. The decanters measure 11 cm (4.4 inches) in diameter at their widest points. The decanters are 22 cm (8.8 inches) in height without the stoppers and 28 cm (11.2 inches) in height with the stoppers inserted.
