The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this Georgian Lynn Glass Decanter to the 18th Century.

The carafe is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 250 years of use. It has a polished out pontil mark on the underside of the base.
The carafe has a cylindrical body moulded with five Lynn rings and measures 8.5 cm (2.2 inches) in diameter at its widest point (the shoulders).
They have also been called Norfolk glass in the past. The carafe is 21 cm (8.4 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is an old collectors' sticker on the underside of the base.
Lead glass weighing in at 580 g. (~ 1 lb. 4 oz.).
