Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a button operated fully opening front door, a key lockable and sound fretted rear door, and glazed panels to both sides. It has a gilded carrying handle to the shaped top and stands on wooden pad feet.

The exceptionally clean dial has a silvered chapter ring with black engraved numerals and interspaced fluer-de-lis markers. The outer minute track is marked on each 5 mins with black Arabic numerals. It has gilt spandrels to the corners with a matted and gilded centre.

The 8 day movement by SMITHS of ENGLAND has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered, 9th generation horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee. It plays the Westminster-chime on the quarters and the number of hours on the hour. It is fitted with a STRIKE/SILENT button.
A very elegant looking clock indeed.
