An Attractive Brass Lantern Clock by Gray of Edinburgh. Characterized by its lantern like shape they were amongst the first widely used in private homes in England, becoming popular after 1600. Typically feature a square case or ball feet, usually with a single hour hand , and a large bell surmounted by a finial with ornate fretwork. This particular one may have later additions.
