In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Antique glass should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and abrasive sponges to protect the delicate surface and historic patina.

They can be displayed on open shelving, integrated into a bar cart arrangement, or used functionally as small flower vases to add historical texture to a modern space.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, slightly uneven thickness due to hand-blowing, and a high lead content weight.

These glasses were traditionally mouth-blown from lead glass, which offered a heavier weight, increased clarity, and a resonant ring when struck, often featuring hand-cut or polished decorative motifs.

A rummer is a large, sturdy drinking glass that became popular in Britain during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, primarily used for consuming rum, punch, ale, and wine.
