Clockwise is pleased to have for sale this lovely eight day ships clock from the respected Henry Browne, a manufacturer of high quality bulkhead clocks and marine instruments. Dating from circa 1950 this slightly smaller version of a marine clock has a bevelled glass hinged door and both the dial and heavy brass case are in excellent condition; there is the usual fine timing adjustment on the dial but hidden by the bezel door and the original hands and bevelled glass finish off this lovely piece. The high quality movement is fitted with a lever escapement platform and the entire piece has just been fully dismantled, serviced and cleaned. The 14.5 cm diameter dial is in lovely condition and the clock is covered by my three year warranty.Henry Browne was born in Lewis, Sussex in 1842 and died in Barking in 1935.
