A fine example of 18th-century craftsmanship, this impressive antique oak mule chest features a hinged lid—retaining its original iron hinges—that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The front is decorated with four fielded panels above two fitted drawers, each finished with brass drop handles. Raised on shaped bracket feet, the piece displays a rich, consistent colour throughout and offers both charm and functionality.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition overall, with expected signs of age and use. There is surface wear in places, including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. The chest is very heavy, reflecting its solid 18th-century construction. The lid shows staining, splitting, and evidence of a historical repair. There is also some loss to one of the drawers, all consistent with the age and character of the piece.
