Welsh oak two-part coffer of an unusual design, with a detachable lid (with wooden cross-hinges) above applied panels simulating drawers, over a base with a deep waist moulding above a small central drawer flanked by larger drawers, above a shaped apron and raised on elegant narrow legs.
Replaced handles, small strip added to top (1.5 inches; 4 cms. wide, see close-up), some replacements to feet.
Good colour and surface patination.
