Large Antique Oak Coffer

A large 19th century oak coffer in the 17th century manner, of traditional form with bold geometric carved decoration. The front is detailed with carved panels and linear mouldings. Of good size and solid construction, the coffer has a strong presence and decorative appeal. A good substantial example with pleasing dark oak colour and character.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition consistent with age and use. General surface wear including marks, knocks and rubbing to edges as expected. The hinges are later replacements. There is general age related wear throughout but the piece remains structurally solid with good usable storage capacity.
