Regency Inlaid Rosewood Bell Chiming Mantel Clock

A fine quality Regency inlaid rosewood silvered dial mantel clock with bell striking on the hour and half hour by Laine of Paris c.1825. The polished rosewood case with fruitwood stringing and floral inlays to the sides. Glazed view window to the top and removable window to the dial. Engine turned silvered dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands along with the makers name Laine, Paris. The 8 day bell chiming movement striking on the hour and half hour with external count wheel, anchor escapement and silk suspension. Presented in excellent condition with an original patina, the movement fully overhauled and working. Measures 6'' wide x 4.5'' deep x 7.5'' high with handle down or 9'' high with handle up.
