A patch stand is a small, elevated glass dish traditionally used on dressing tables to hold small cosmetic patches, pins, or trinkets during the Georgian and Victorian periods.

These pieces were typically crafted from lead glass or blown glass, featuring hand-engraved motifs and applied gold leaf or fire gilding cured at high temperatures.

Authentic items often exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor irregularities in the hand-blown glass, and wear patterns consistent with age on the gilding.

Place the piece on a mantelpiece or side table to display small collectables, or use it as a striking accent object on a bookshelf to introduce historic texture.

Clean the item gently using a soft, dry microfiber cloth to avoid damaging the delicate engraved lines and fragile gold leaf application.
