Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian glassware, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, is characterised by lighter, more delicate forms than heavy Victorian pieces, often featuring refined floral, ribbon, and garland etchings inspired by neoclassical and French Louis XVI motifs.

These pieces are typically made from lead crystal or clear potash glass, shaped using traditional glass-blowing techniques into moulds or free-blown forms, then decorated using acid-etching, wheel-engraving, or pantograph machines to apply intricate surface patterns.

Authentic pieces often exhibit minor surface wear, tiny air bubbles trapped within the metal, and pontil marks or slight irregularities on the base that indicate hand-finishing, distinguishing them from modern machine-pressed glass.

Antique stemware adds a layer of heritage and texture when displayed openly in a modern drinks cabinet, styled on a bar cart, or used during formal dining occasions to create a sophisticated tablescape.

Antique crystal should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding harsh dishwashers and sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock and protect the delicate etched surface.
