In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Nineteenth-century art glass is characterised by technical experimentation, vibrant colours, and heavy reliance on historical revival motifs, often incorporating elaborate gilding and enamelling techniques.

These pieces were typically crafted from blown or moulded coloured glass, hand-finished with applied gold leaf gilding, acid-etching, and hand-painted enamel details.

Authenticity is determined by examining the weight of the glass, pontil marks on the base, the quality and wear of the hand-applied gilding, and period-accurate manufacturing techniques.

Such pieces serve as striking focal points when displayed on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or within a glass-fronted cabinet, contrasting against clean, modern architectural lines.

Preserve the fragile gilding and surface finish by dusting gently with a soft dry cloth, avoiding all liquid cleaners, harsh chemicals, and direct sunlight.
