A superb French �regulator� mantel clock of the late 19th century. On display within the four very thick bevelled �white� glass panels is a two piece enamel dial in superb condition, with small Roman numerals on the outer dial, as well as the central visible Brocot escapement, numbered �7398�, to the reverse of the dial. The recently overhauled 8-day French movement, striking the hour and half hour on a bell, and the sealed mercury compensating pendulum suspended below.
