Antique Mahogany Rocking Seesaw Longcase Grandfather Clock Garman Meonstoke

This is a wonderful and extremely rare rocking Seesaw mahogany long case clock, with an eight-day movement on a broken arch brass dial with a rocking seasaw with a wonderful boy and girl to either end. The clock is made by John Garman of Meonstoke and is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for a clock to place straight into their home.
 
If we start with the hood, this has swan necks which are finished with lovely turned pateras. The top if finished with three lovely turned finials. The door has a pretty little bovine shield to the key hole. Pretty turned columns flank the hood door with lovely shaped back splats to the rear. To the sides are lovely shaped glass panels which allow the movement to be viewed. The door is complete with its lock and key which is fully working. The same key operated both the hood and trunk door.
 
If we then move down to the trunk it has a lovely shaped fully length shaped door. Above the door is a pretty half turned acorn. The door is also complete with it''s lock and key which is fully working. The same key operated both the hood and trunk door. The door is then flanked by carved detailing.
 
Finally the base has is nicely cross banded in mahogany and is then raised on pretty shaped plinth.
 
The dial with makers name of ''John Garman Meonstoke'', has the four corners adorned with pretty sprays of flowers. The arch has a lovely rare feature of a rocking seesaw. It features a lovely scene of a tree with a seesaw below over a log with a boy and girl at either end both beautifully dressed. In the background is a lovely water and historic building scene. The seesaw rocks up and down to the ticking of time. The dial is set out with Roman Numerals. There are subsidiary second dial. The dial also has the most wonderful fingers.
 
The movement is eight day duration and is rack striking on a single bell. The movement is in perfect working order having recently been professionally cleaned and serviced. As can be seen from...
