In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The drawer fronts are beautifully veneered in burr walnut to match the exterior. Each drawer is lined with a smooth metal lining similar to that which I’ve seen used in medical or dentistry cabinets.
The whole piece is in very good condition and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. The wood has developed a lovely rich patina and the interior is clean and tidy. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and use, some chips around the base and a small shrinkage split to one side but overall it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
