The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has an English stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name of the original retailer, Richard Smith, Scarborough. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The case is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the back, and some rubbing of the engine turned detail.

The glass lens is in good condition.
The dial is in lovely condition… possibly a short very light hairline at number 8 but it is so light, it is difficult to tell. Pin-set blued steel hands.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
