The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Silver Jw Benson Pocket Watch to the 1880s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has general surface marking.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London 1885, together with a maker’s mark for J W Benson. The case has some fairly gentle unevenness to the back, and the cartouche on the back is quite rubbed.

The acrylic lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial has a faint hairline between the sub second dial and number 8 but you have to look closely to see it. One of the hands is a period replacement.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
