Victorian etched glassware features intricate designs acid-etched or wheel-engraved into the glass surface, reflecting the decorative arts movement of the 19th century.

These items were typically made from lead crystal or flint glass, shaped using free-blowing or mould-blowing techniques before undergoing hand-engraving or acid-etching.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, irregularities typical of hand manufacturing, and specific weight associated with lead glass.

Antique glassware can be displayed openly on shelving, used as functional barware on a drinks trolley, or utilised as small vases for single stems to introduce historic character to modern spaces.

Wash antique glass gently by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding abrasive materials and sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock and damage.
