This beautiful antique French marble & polished slate mantle clock dates from the C. 1860.

The French quality movement is fully overhauled.

The large circular painted enamel face with double brass bezel exposes the working of visible brocot escapement. The original mercury pendulum is behind a thick bevel edged glass. The 8 day movement strikes on the hour and half hour on a steel bell. The stylish case has roundels on either side.
