Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a protective glass top inset into a deep mahogany surround with moulded edge above two drawers with rosewood banding and two walnut bow fronted doors again with rosewood banding and with ornate gilt handles and lock escutcheons. Internally there are four sliding mahogany linen trays and it stands on a plinth base with turned mahogany legs with gilt caps to the foot. There is a column to either side with lovely gilt mounts.
Measures: 41" high X 23" deep X 48" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and walnut oozing the charm and character of the period and making for a very useful piece of furniture for todays contemporary living.
