Mid Century 5.68 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire Ring, Circa 1950

1940 - 1960
Description

Phenomenally beautiful. The unheated Ceylon sapphire in the centre is an intense, vivid blue. The stone is secured by four platinum claws and is flanked by two pair of high white and clean transitional cut diamond in box settings, leading to a slim platinum shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with transitional cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are F to G.

Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The sapphire is 5.68 carat with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.36 carat.

Circa – 1950.

Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down. Please note, the internal sizing adjuster can be removed if you prefer.

Measurements – The sapphire is 10.9 x 7.3mm. Sits 7.3mm from the finger.

Metal – Platinum. Tested.
