Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this Ceylon Sapphire Cluster Ring to the 1960s.
The sapphire is secured by four 18k yellow gold split claws and is surrounded by twelve round brilliant and two baguette cut diamonds in a wired gallery. Triple wire shoulders lead to a slim, grooved white gold shank. A serious, and seriously lovely, piece of jewellery.

Accompanied by a Gemstone report from the Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in origin. Report No. 99837
Cut – Oval cut sapphire with round brilliant and baguette cut sapphires.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H. There is paler area in the sapphire due to natural colour zoning.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is 10.87 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.65 carat.

Circa – 1965.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.93 x 11.12mm. The head of the ring is 18.45 x 17.55mm sits 10.9mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. French hallmarks.
