Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mid-century cluster rings typically feature a large central coloured gemstone, such as a sapphire or ruby, framed by a border of accent diamonds. Popularised during the 1950s and 1960s, these designs emphasise symmetry, prominent claw settings, and decorative shoulders.

Vintage cluster rings are commonly crafted from platinum, white gold, or yellow gold to securely hold precious gemstones. Natural sapphires and diamonds are set using claw or bezel mounts, often featuring hand-finished detailing along the basket and gallery.

Authenticity is verified through gemmological reports detailing origin and heat treatment status, along with metal purity hallmarks stamped on the interior shank. Inspection under magnification reveals characteristic inclusions and historical stone-cutting techniques typical of the era.

Statement gemstone rings can be worn as focal accent pieces alongside minimalist contemporary attire or paired with existing band rings for a stacked look. The contrast between vintage claw settings and modern tailoring provides a balanced aesthetic.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the settings. Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, and schedule periodic jeweller inspections to ensure the claws remain secure.
