A beautifully crafted “surprise” drinks cabinet by Thornhill & Co of New Bond Street, London. When the twin hinged table top is opened it reveals a rising central section with a three bottle Tantalus which has silver plated mounts and is inscribed ''Herbert from Willie December 15th 1900'' and a selection of glasses (not original to the cabinet). The table sits on square sectioned tapering legs with castors united by a galleried central platform.
