A fine quality late 19th Century French gilded ormolu mantel clock with hand painted Sevres style porcelain plaques, depicting beautiful maidens. Having a porcelain lidded urn to the top, six gilded fruit like finials, a porcelain painted clock face with an eight day duration, striking on the hour and half hour. Gilded lattice decoration to the case and raised on petalled circular feet.

This French Rococo Revival mantel clock from the late nineteenth century incorporates gilt bronze, ormolu, porcelain and glass. The structure displays gilded ormolu mounts, chased gilt decorative mouldings, a lidded porcelain urn finial with painted floral and instrument motifs, six fruit-shaped finials, and petalled circular feet. Side glass panels enclose a painted porcelain clock face with black numerals and floral garlands, and a visible pendulum ending in a small decorated porcelain bob. Flanking the front glass door are two porcelain panels hand-painted with classical female figures in pink and blue gowns against a pale backdrop.
