Description

An excellent fully fitted and complete George V mahogany Table-top Cabinet of Minerals by Gregory, Bottley & Co, London, with glazed front door and eight graduating inner drawers.

Each drawer is segmented and houses lovely individual mineral specimens. Each specimen is numbered and a small corresponding card describes its name, origin, and classification.

Total: 148 specimens (Complete)

Dimensions:  h: 24.5 inches (62.2 cm); w: 19 inches (48.3 cm); d: 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Dated: c.1920-1930.

Edward P Bottley was an English Geologist and Businessman. He established a geological dealership in Derby, England and later took over Gregory's expanding the firm to supply museums, universities and private collections from 30 Old Church Street, Chelsea, London.
