This Edwardian Royal Worcester porcelain covered vase stands 34 cm high, 27 cm wide, and 23 cm deep. The body features a detailed hand-painted scene of Highland cattle grazing in an open landscape against a muted sky, finished with a glossy glaze. The piece is rendered in an ivory and gold colour palette, accentuated by extensive gilding on the handles, rim, foot, and the pointed finial on the tiered lid. Ornate double handles sweep gracefully from the shoulders, while the reticulated neck displays openwork decoration complemented by raised gilt bow swags and ribbon reliefs. The blush-toned neck, top, and base sections provide a contrasting frame to the central pastoral artwork. Designed in the Edwardian period around 1906, this vessel suits display on a mantelpiece within a traditional highland hunting lodge setting or similar formal living space.

Royal Worcester produced hand-painted porcelain featuring Highland cattle scenes during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, made famous primarily by the Stinton family of artists who specialised in pastoral landscape paintings.

These pieces were crafted from porcelain, decorated with enamel hand-painting, and finished with burnished gold leaf gilding over relief mouldings and reticulated pierced details.

Authentic items feature a printed Royal Worcester factory mark on the base, often accompanied by date codes comprised of dots or letters, and may include an artist signature within the painted landscape.

Vases of this nature are styled on mantelpieces, sideboards, or inside glass display cabinets to serve as focal points alongside understated contemporary or classic furnishings.

Clean gently using a soft, dry microfibre cloth or soft brush to remove dust; avoid water immersion, abrasive cleaners, and harsh chemical solvents that can wear away gilding and paintwork.
