Exhibit Antiques has dated this Georgian Engraved Glass Rummer to the Georgian era.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
It has a large bucket bowl, beautifully decorated around the upper section with a broad band of alternating vesica-shaped panels filled with fine diamond cutting and diamond-shaped panels containing engraved star motifs, interspersed with small polished ovals.

Below, a band of vertical panel cutting extends around the lower section of the bowl, terminating above a substantial stepped foot.
A particularly fine example of early 19th-century Anglo-Irish glassmaking, combining intricate geometric decoration with the substantial proportions and quality of cutting associated with the period.

We have also included it in a group picture of other Anglo Irish glases from the period.
