A rummer is a heavy drinking glass popular from the late 18th through the 19th century, traditionally designed with a short stem, thick foot, and wide bowl used for serving ale, wine, or punch.

Victorian rummers were primarily blown and hand-cut from lead crystal glass, creating a heavy vessel with light-refracting facets and geometric patterns.

Authentic pieces feature sharp hand-cut facets, noticeable physical weight due to lead content, faint wear marks on the underside of the base, and minor variations inherent to handcrafting.

An antique rummer can be displayed on a sideboard top, arranged inside a glass cabinet, or repurposed as a small decorative vessel for short floral arrangements.

Lead crystal should be washed individually by hand in warm water using mild soap, avoiding dishwashers and thermal shock from hot water.
