This Regency period mahogany collector's cabinet presents a rich dark brown timber finish with striking flame mahogany veneers and a grey veined marble top. The form incorporates a rectangular body with double panelled doors flanked by crisply carved acanthus leaf pilasters, standing on bold scrolling feet decorated with further acanthus carving. It measures 93.5 cm high, 124.5 cm wide, and 42 cm deep. Positioned in a formal living room, hallway, or study, this traditional piece provides elegant surface display space alongside closed storage. The refined architectural details and warm natural wood tones integrate smoothly into classic or transitional interiors, serving as a sophisticated focal point for collections or everyday items.

Regency furniture, produced roughly between 1811 and 1830, is characterised by classical proportions, symmetry, and the prominent use of rich woods such as flame mahogany paired with classical architectural motifs.

Regency cabinetmakers frequently utilised imported mahogany, flame mahogany veneers, brass accents, and carved detailing, often integrating fitted marble tops for durability.

Authentic pieces usually display hand-cut dovetail joints, original brass hardware, flame veneer application on solid timber carcasses, and hand-carved classical motifs such as acanthus leaves.

Placing a historical cabinet in an entryway or dining area creates visual contrast when paired with contemporary artwork, minimalist ceramics, or neutral backdrop tones.

Dust timber surfaces regularly with a soft microfibre cloth, apply beeswax sparingly along the grain, and clean the marble top using a pH-neutral cleaner to prevent stone etching.
