This pair of antique Stuart Crystal whiskey tumblers dates to the period between 1920 and 1930. The drinkware is rendered in clear cut crystal with an Art Deco style, displaying gently tapering bowls, polished rims, heavy bases, and cross-cut facets in a diamond-cut pattern. The vessels stand on star-cut bases and bear acid-etched factory marks, presenting excellent condition without chips, cracks, or restoration. These pieces find a natural home on a sideboard top in a gentleman's library or dining space, serving drinks neat, over ice, or with water. They measure Height: 8.9 cm, Rim Diameter: 8.1 cm, and Foot Diameter: 7.1 cm, combining practical utility with period elegance.

Stuart Crystal, produced in Stourbridge, England, became renowned during the early 20th century for high-grade lead crystal featuring crisp geometric cuts. During the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s, the maker produced glassware with structured diamond and cross-cut patterns designed to reflect ambient lighting.

Traditional English cut crystal was crafted from lead glass, which enhanced clarity, weight, and light refraction. Skilled artisans blew the glass by hand before grinding geometric facets into the surface using rotating wheels, finishing the piece with acid polishing to restore lustre.

Authentic pieces often feature a faint acid-etched mark on the underside base, such as Stuart in script or block letters. Additional markers include significant physical weight, a resonant ring when tapped gently, and high precision in the geometric cut depth.

Display cut crystal tumblers on a polished brass or mirrored bar tray alongside a crystal decanter. They work exceptionally well on a dark wood sideboard or open bar cart, where light can pass through the cut facets.

Hand wash lead crystal in lukewarm water using a mild liquid soap and a soft cloth, avoiding dishwashers which cause clouding and heat damage. Dry immediately with a lint-free microfiber towel to prevent water spots and preserve clarity.
