Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A rummer is a large, heavy drinking glass popular in the late 18th and 19th centuries, primarily used for serving rum, ale, or wine in homes and taverns.

These glasses were traditionally mouth-blown from lead crystal or flint glass, often featuring hand-cut geometric patterns and polished pontil marks on the base.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit high lead content resulting in heavy weight, slight irregularities from hand-blowing, greyish surface wear, and a distinct ring when tapped.

They can be displayed on open shelving, used as small vases for seasonal stems, or styled on a bar cart to introduce historical texture and craftsmanship.

Antique glass should always be washed by hand in warm water with mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and harsh mechanical dishwashers to protect the delicate surface.
