Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Famille Rose, known in Chinese as Yangcai, emerged during the Qing dynasty in the 18th century, characterised by its predominant use of an opaque pink enamel palette introduced from Europe.

These pieces were crafted from high-fired white porcelain, hand-painted with mineral and metallic enamels, often incorporating gilded highlights and detailed figurative or botanical motifs.

Authenticity is determined by examining the brushwork quality, the iron-red or underglaze blue marks, the presence of crazing, and the specific texture of the enamels under magnification.

They can be paired with simple, neutral linen shades to balance their intricate patterns, serving as focal points on sideboards, consoles, or desks.

Dust gently with a soft, dry brush and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. For converted lamps, ensure the electrical components are periodically tested by a certified professional.
