The Arts and Crafts movement emphasised handcraftsmanship, simple forms, and natural materials, often featuring exposed wood grain and minimal ornamentation inspired by medieval design.

These clocks typically feature solid oak or mahogany cases housing mechanical spring-driven or weight-driven brass movements capable of Westminster or chime melodies.

Authenticity is identified through traditional joinery, period-appropriate brass winding holes, original maker signatures on the dial or movement, and natural timber ageing.

Such a piece serves as a striking focal point on a neutral wall, pairing effectively with both minimalist modern spaces and traditional room schemes.

Keep the clock away from direct sunlight and damp environments, ensure it is hung level on a secure wall, and have the movement professionally serviced every few years.
