Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

British art pottery from this period is characterised by individual craftsmanship, experimental glazes, and often incorporated relief moulding or organic motifs inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement.

These pieces were typically crafted from local clays, thrown or moulded into shape, and finished with specialized lead or alkaline glazes that often pooled in distinctive ways during the high-temperature firing process.

Authentic pieces usually feature characteristic crazing in the glaze, makers marks or impressed stamps on the base, and weight consistent with period ceramic formulations rather than modern lightweight replicas.

Positioning a colourful glazed ceramic vessel on a neutral surface like a wooden sideboard or open shelving allows the rich tones and textures to act as a focal point, contrasting effectively with minimalist surroundings.

Maintain antique ceramics by keeping them out of direct sunlight to prevent glaze fading, dusting gently with a soft dry cloth, and avoiding immersion in water, especially if the piece exhibits extensive crazing.
