Size: 4ft 7in x 3ft 6in (140 x 106cm).

Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of fine weave and small size.

Circa 1900.

These rugs are considered to be ‘dowry’ weavings used by the Turkmen bride on her wedding day.

This example has 3 rows of 9 Tekke guls, the main border is of the star in octagon with sunburst design.

The rug has very fine soft wool with excellent colour.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
