A fine true pair of patinated bronze, ormolu and white marble figural Cherub candelabra in excellent condition. Set upon a white marble base, with ormolu beads surrounding the marble.The putti stand upon rocks, holding up the five branch stems, which are stylised as flowers. Beautiful quality and with superb gilding and patination. An identical model but with seated cherubs can be seen in ''Les Bronzes du Mobilier National 1800-1870'' pp 292, which were made by the firm Deniere & Fils in 1844. These can easily be fitted for electricity if so desired.
