French empire mahogany and gilt metal mounted antique cabinet on chest. The upper tier with two doors fitted with very attractive gilt metal mounts. The chest below with three short drawers and two long drawers with gilt metal mounts and handles. It stands on original bracket feet.

This piece is wonderfully attractive and has been designed and crafted beautifully. The colour is striking and is in excellent condition.

This French Empire cabinet on chest originates from around 1800 and exhibits a warm brown mahogany timber finish. The upper tier consists of two panelled cupboard doors decorated with slender diamond-shaped gilt brass mounts and a central keyhole escutcheon with a ring pull. The lower chest section features a configuration of three small drawers above two long lower drawers, all fitted with small circular gilt ring handles and detailed decorative mounts. Structural support is provided by plain bracket feet beneath a moulded plinth base.
